Here is how to find your GoPro’s serial number through the version.txt file on your SD card
Start by inserting your SD card into your computer’s card reader slot.
Once the SD card is inserted, open ‘File Explorer’ if you’re using a Windows system, or ‘Finder’ if you’re on a Mac.
Navigate to and open the SD card from the list of available drives.
Within the SD card, locate and open the folder named ‘MISC’.
Inside the ‘MISC’ folder, find and open the ‘version.txt’ file.
